 Why Food Safety is Important?

Food safety is a process that everyone has a responsibility to understand and practice.  Whether at home or at work, food safety is important.  However, it is difficult to explain how food-borne diseases can be prevented, and there are many different things to consider in order to think about it.  That's why scientists have introduced four principles of food safety to understand and clarify foodborne illness.

 Cleaning

There are some precautions to keep in mind when cleaning, such as a separate cloth and bucket to clean the floor.  Similarly, there should be a daily kitchen cleaning schedule and the floor should be cleaned with chemicals first and then disinfected thoroughly.

Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before touching or cooking food.  And make sure everything that works is clean and that special care is taken to clean everything from cooking to eating.

Cleanliness is half the faith.  The increase in the number of germs in food is due to poor hygiene of food and beverages and this is the biggest reason for the spread of diseases.  That's why it's important to remember that a clean place is a safe kitchen.  Germs first spread through the hands.  If you touch meat, fish and other foods, wash your hands immediately afterwards and thoroughly wash any utensils used in cooking before and after.  So take care of personal hygiene before entering the food preparation area to avoid possible contamination.

Cooling certain foods is important because the cold environment slows down or stops the growth and spread of some bacteria.  This is especially important for fresh items, which are likely to come in contact with bacteria during preparation.  Keeping them cool can keep food safe for a while.  Generally, items that need to be refrigerated need to keep the temperature up to five degrees Celsius.  People working in kitchens and other food preparation areas need to constantly monitor their refrigerators to make sure they are at the right temperature.  It is important to note that refrigerating most foods increases their shelf life.

 Cooking

This process has a special place in food safety, which ensures that the prepared food is safe.  Raw foods contain bacteria, some of which are harmful to health.  Properly cooked raw foods such as meat and fish kill dangerous bacteria, and the food is preserved.  In order to adhere to this important principle, it is important that food is cooked properly.  An important point to remember, however, is that cooking well kills bacteria - it does not usually eliminate harmful chemicals that are produced by bacteria.  That is why once food is spoiled, it cannot be cooked safely.  Most people at home cook food once and then heat it up and eat it when needed.  But one thing to keep in mind while heating food is to heat as much food as there is food.  Repeatedly heating food produces dangerous chemicals that can be very harmful to health.
